I found your project through a vite issue and I'm curious what you ended up with as a solution.
In particular, I'm interested in using a CDN like jspm.org with import maps for all "hosted" packages. Using their recommended https://github.com/guybedford/es-module-shims, it should be easy to support browsers that have ES support but no importmap support yet. Finally, I'd like to be able to transform local files into ES--typescript (.ts) and svelte (.svelte) for example.
Any thoughts?
