I am using Docker to set up Nextcloud and recently upgraded from Nextcloud 26 to Nextcloud 27 => 28 => 29. Collectives upgrade from 2.9.2 to 2.15.2. During the upgrade process, I did not encounter any errors, but I found that some users are unable to open certain files within Collectives. How can I resolve this issue? (Nextcloud has encryption enabled, using the Default encryption module.)

Thanks for reporting. Did you check the nextcloud log for errors? What kind of behaviour do you see when browsing the pages?

Also if you navigate to the Collectives folder and try to access the files there, can you download them?

Sorry for the late reply,

Did you check the nextcloud log for errors?

When opening the problematic file, the system log shows below error message

Cannot decrypt this file, probably this is a shared file. Please ask the file owner to reshare the file with you.

What kind of behaviour do you see when browsing the pages?

  • In Collectives folder
    Image
  • In Collectives app

can you download them?

Unable to download abnormal file.

Downloading the entire folder will not decompress it correctly. Problems you may encounter include:

  • The only folder that contains content is .attachments, no other files
  • Abnormal file cannot be decompressed
