We discussed in our infra meeting yesterday. The reboot time of makemake is in the 15-20 min range. It is a bare metal machine running on Hetzner.
We use makemake for many public facing services, summer of nix website, cryptpad, and CI. So it's not ideal to have that much downtime.
We will likely only reboot when we do kernel updates to makemake every nixos stable releases.
So this can be considered a low-medium priority task, given the low frequency of reboots and the previous record of makemake having the longest uptime among all the infra of Nixos.
