i'd like https://github.com/2nv2u/gnome-shell-extension-syncthing-indicator to be ported in noctalia, but it seems the plugins can't read the apikey in ~/.config
What it is the best practise to deal with this kind of limitation ?

Maybe I misunderstand it but I don't see any issue reading something from ~/.config/ via FileView or similar approaches.

I think they want to store some api key, and want to track that with git as well. adding api key in plain file won't be a great idea

Ohh I see! I mean it would be easier to just have an env var, no?
