Weasis closes after Remote connect to pc

Describe the bug. What happened?

I am running Weasis 4.6.6 on MS Windows 11.
When I have Weasis open on my workstation it closes when I connect to this workstation from a different pc with remote desktop. What causes this or how can I prevent it?
I don't see any errors or warnings.

This is not a bug in Weasis itself, but rather a known issue with the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) on Windows 11 when accessed via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

This JVM crash has been documented in the OpenJDK bug tracker: 👉 JDK-8365960

The fix has been targeted for JDK 26, but testing has shown it is not yet fully successful. The issue is also being referenced in the context of JDK 27, so further improvements may be coming.

As a workaround/confirmation, note that running the same JVM via Citrix does not trigger this crash — the problem appears to be specific to Windows 11 + RDP.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done on the Weasis side until this underlying JDK bug is resolved.
