This request has come from existing ticket - nvs-vocabs/P01#278
For new P01 terms:

  1. Abundance of transparent exopolymer particle per unit volume of the water body [particulate >0.4/0.45um phase] by filtration, Alcian blue staining, optical microscopy and image analysis
  2. Concentration as carbon of transparent exopolymer particle per unit volume of the water body [particulate >0.4/0.45um phase] by filtration, Alcian blue staining, optical microscopy and image analysis and computation using Mari (1999) formula

Proposed pref. label: 'transparent exopolymer particle'
Proposed description: 'Extracellular acidic polysaccharides produced by phytoplankton and bacteria in water bodies that are important for the biogeochemical cycling of elements.'
