Plex Thumbnail Generation

I want to hear from everyone using Plex with thumbnail generation enabled, how do you approach this? Im asking because yesterday I added the full friends show to NzbDav and of course Plex did the intro and outro detection and thumbnail generation. I checked my network this morning and I have 1.5TB just for that.

Do you just let it happen? How do you deal with it?

It would be great if I could pass the tag from sonarr over to plex and tell plex to no do thumbnail generation for those those tagged as nzbdav

I personally have it all disabled and don't miss it much 😄

I guess I can do that, but I do kind of like the thumbnails. I guess the best option would be to have a separate instance of radarr and sonarr for this. Then create a new library on Plex for these movies and shows and disable all the settings for those libraries.

I have created 2 new libraries in Plex for Movies and TV-shows that I stream using NzbDAV. In the config of these libraries I disabled the Video Preview Thumbnails, Intro and Credits detection, Ad detection and Voice Activity detection. Keeps it nice and smooth. And keeps my offline (local) video's separated from the ones streaming using NzbDAV.
