What were you trying to do?

After installing on an older machine using MacPorts, OCRmyPDF always generates a "Leptonica Error in fopenReadStream: file not found" and does not create an OCR'd pdf.

(while Mac OS X 10.6.8 was EOL a long time ago, MacPorts fully supports that version and keeps the "ports" up to date)

install-msg.txt

Where are you installing/running from?

source build

OCRmyPDF version

16.8.0

What operating system are you working on?

macOS

Operating system details and version

10.6.8

Simple sanity checks

  • Operating system is currently supported by its vendor (not end of life)
  • Python version is compatible with OCRmyPDF
  • This issue is not about a specific input file
