Japanese input method not work

Thank you for your great work.
I can not input Japanese characters. It's two byte charcter and need conversion method. Even if I set the system Language to Japanese and keyboard to Japanese one and select Japanese input setup, direct input method is applied.
If i made wrong usage, please let me know how to use it correctly.

Additional Information.
The picture is the Japanese input method menu displayed in Chromeos flex. By selecting one of them, you can display Japanese character candidates in that manner. This issue does not display the list of input methods in the red box.

Hey Yoshio have you checked the new Fyde for you version that just got Released?? I see the japonese languague listed there.
