This repo has support for the Conventional Commits, however it doesn't utilize that to enable automated release via tools like https://github.com/semantic-release/semantic-release
While semantic-release is mostly targeted towards npm it can be used to release to PyPi as seen on the openedx-atlas release.yml workflow.
