H2 projects

This list contains the projects want to work on in the second half (H2) of 2023.

• OWD Project: CSS specs: module landing pages #147 (Estelle)
• OWD project: Attend W3C Secure the web forward workshop #175 (Florian)
• OWD project: Grouping web platform features (with W3C WebDX CG) #169 (Florian + Daniel Beck)
• OWD BCD project: Implement a process for updating BCD whenever a new browser release is available #168 (Vinyl, Florian, Jean-Yves)
• OWD BCD project: 2020+ accuracy for HTML and SVG #160 (Vinyl, Florian)
• OWD project: Replace XMLHttpRequest in examples with fetch() #156 (Will)

Some adjustments we made in the planning call last week:

Taking out and deferring to 2024:

• Interop: Document API features supported by 3 engines (Part #2) #153. We will keep an eye on this but don't document all the missing HTML* APIs for the moment.
• OWD project: Provide an embeddable version of HTML and CSS reference documentation #174. Will to write a summary of what we have designed so far. Will revisit next year (if funding allows).
• OWD project: Doc structures for WebIDL concepts #159. There are quite some discussions to have on these and there seems to be no bandwidth in the MDN content maintainer's group for it.

At risk:

• OWD project: Consistently document Web platform security requirements in MDN reference docs #146. Florian doesn't have the bandwidth right now. Seems relatively well designed already, though, so maybe Will + Hamish could pick it up.

Two new projects to assess whether they fit in now or in 2024:

• A security docs project that follows up on our workshop attendance (Will has an action item to write up an OWD project proposal here)
• Eric Meyer proposed a new BCD project: Add changes in support status and coverage to BCD release notes #182
