Format on save causes big lag spike when saving

Steps to reproduce:

1. Enable setting in vscode: "editor.formatOnSave": true,
2. Add eslint/prettier formatting
3. Save

This shows the extension host pending and the file not saving, it's blaming eslint, but using Extension Bisect I was able to deduce that the inlang plugin is causing the file not to be saved.

Sometimes it can take 20 seconds for anything to happen.

The files that this happens to include many translation snippets. the more translation snippets there are the longer it takes for the editor to respond

I think this is fixed in 2.1.0 but 2.1.0 has a new regression #190

When I set sherlock.inlineAnnotations.enabled to false the issue stops. (but missing out on probably the nicest part of the plugin lol

Sherlock historically polled. It might be that inline annotations causes Sherlock to poll a lot. Combined with the fs sync bug, every poll might trigger a write.

The fs sync one is likely fixed in the dev branch but i need to get SQLite indeces to work before I can release Sherlock with it. Sometime this month is my guess but dont nail my on this

I'm running into the same issue. Unfortunately, sherlock.inlineAnnotations.enabled doesn't seem to fix it for me; only disabling the plugin seems to work.

Only files that have Paraglide translations suffer from this. If I remove all translations, it doesn't seem to speed back up (in that file) unless I restart the editor. I'm praying this falls under the same issue. Let me know if there's any more info I can provide.
