Hi jiribrejcha, I updated the hotspot today but I don´t get the SSID visable. I changed the driver, too, changed the SSID, tried the 5 GHz band but have still the same issue. I restarted the OS several times and switched back to classic mode and back withou success. It must be just a config issue in the hostapd.conf file of Hotspot mode. Can you switch back to Classic mode please, and compare the Wi-Fi Console config and the Hotspot configs? You should be able to copy changes from wconsole to hotspot and it should just work. There isn't any other difference between the 2 modes from wireless perspective. |

Hi Jiri, you are right, I compared both files but couldn´t see any issue. There were the following differences: Countrycode, SSID and selected frequency band and the driver (the originate was disabled by me plus I had set the drive to the one from the WLANPi screen). I changed the countywide and the driver back and it works now. After that I change the SSID, PSW and countycode again and it still works. May this was a combination of bug and config entry. Thanks for your support. Jens |

I have set up the WLANPi and it works fine. Only the Hotspot Mode doesn't show any SSID. The Ethernet ist connected the DHCP Server works and I can see the WLAN IP address 172.16.43.1. I have checked the hostapd.conf and left the default settings. The USB-WLAN-Adapter has a different driver (visible in the WLANpi WLAN Interfaces: Driver: mt7921u. I tried to change the drive in the hosted.conf but without any success. I tried Bothe drivers, too but the SSID is not shown in my iPhones. Do I have to change anything else?
