you could download the fr_CA file and 'upload translation' to fr, You can choose to only update unfinished strings, so the already translated fr strings are not touched. |

Hi there,
I have a project with both "fr" and "fr_CA" languages set up. There are a few minor differences with fr from fr_CA that required this. But for the most part, the translations are the same.
I'm looking for a way to leverage the translations from fr_CA for the fr language. fr_CA has 100% coverage, and the translations for fr that are distinct from fr_CA have been done.
My current thought is to do a translation memory export for fr_CA, relabel all translations to fr, and upload the new translation memory file. I think this might have side effects with the translation memory already established for fr.
My ideal would be something like this:
Lang fr
That isn't an option.
The only UI option I can see is for each untranslated fr string, copy and paste the "other translations" fr_CA string. This would take forever.
Any solutions?
Thanks!
Mike
