Locust with communication by websocket

Hi,
We have sensors which send data via websockets. We have implemented a SimulatedSensor class to manage fake connexion and fake communication with a real server.
We would like to use Locust to implement load tests. Does this seem feasible to you? If so, can you tell me how to integrate our SimulatedSensor class into a test?
