How to Upgrade RetroNAS when main branch updates?

What's the best way to upgrade a running RetroNAS system?

I see that a big feature/fix merge just happened: retronas/retronas#489
However, when I try to update RetroNAS via the upgrade option within the TUI, nothing happens.
I have confirmed that it's set to the main branch.

Do I need to clone the install script and run it again?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

I can quickly see it doing something with git when I try to update (I think I see HEAD for about half a second, so it's checking against the repo?), but then it immediately bounces back to the TUI without seeming to do anything.

Is there some way I can run the update and actually see the output from git without getting bounced back to the TUI?

EDIT 1: It also shows the HEAD when the TUI is starting, but it's gone too fast to read.
Would it be possible to add the current version (head value) of the RetroNAS install to the readout in the configuration menu where the Current RetroNAS Settings are shown?

EDIT 2: I remembered how to Linux properly and piped the console output from launching retronas to a text file.

But, now I'm a bit confused. I set up this test VM before you pushed the latest commit, and yet, when I clone the repo today and check the head value:

I guess I was just expecting it to update slower or something? Sorry for the false alarm.

i've added a pause to the retronas updater script when it is used from the menu now anyway, so it'll display the output until the user presses enter now but the autoupdater will still run non-interactively at start up
