End-of-day reconciliation

There should be a way for cashier to enter the cash float at the start of a shift and then close at the end of day. Cashiers should also be able to print off an end-of-day report with all sales (sometimes called a z-report).

I also need that functionality.

It will be helpful to have a daily report of tickets.
Showing tickets by customer.

Functionality:

1. Every day the system starts a new record.
2. System registers all tickets for that day.
3. User has the posibility to print a temporary Z Report described with list of tickets of the day, showing: ticket number, date and time, ticket value, amount paid, status of ticket.
4. System automatically closes the day at midnight, and the daily record is saved, so the report for that day is available anytime.

Implementation proposal:
Add an option in the left menu showing a list of items (date and total amount) of filtered tickets by day of the month ((like described in previosus 3). Ordered from recent to old. Empty days are not shown.

Any progress on this ?
It is a mandatory requirement in France at least.
