Initialization fails on a fresh Vagrant environment

Here is my error message:

mount -t vboxsf -o uid=`id -u vagrant`,gid=`id -g vagrant` v-csc-1 /tmp/vagrant-chef-1/chef-solo-1/cookbooks

This is happening after a fresh installation of Vagrant (1.0.7) and Virtualbox (4.2.10). I installed the additional gems as per the installation instructions.

OK, I'm ramping up to have a new team use this project, so I'll try to sort through this -- it will definitely be vagrant 1.0.7, since many of the awesome plugins haven't been updated yet, so definitely avoid jumping to v1.1+ :)
