Hi OSGeo:UK Committee,

I hope everyone is well and everyone had a nice break over Christmas .... even if it does seem a long time ago!

We need to organise a SGM to discuss:

• constitution - I can present this
• incorporation - Joseph are you willing to summarise our discussions and outline the options?
• FOSS4G UK 2022 - discussion. Appeal for volunteers. I'm happy to speak to this

We need to advertise this to all members with at least 3 weeks notice.

Ant, are you ok to coordinate this?

I suggest we find a date that works for us (the committee) and then we circulate this to the mailing list.

We can pitch this as a 'preparing for FOSS4G UK 2022' meeting to get the call for volunteers out for that. I am happy to write something suitable if you like.

  • so either have a non voting member, or call SGM to update the Constitution
    I will note I am happy to volunteer to remain as a non-voting member until the next AGM and happy to table that as an option tomorrow.

Thanks Tom - much appreciated. We had a bit of a discussion re incorporation and concluded that Corporation of some type would be important to consider if OSGeo:UK grew in it's activities and did more work, but if carry on as we are (i.e. just running FOSS4GUK and small bits of sponsorship) then incorporation isn't really needed.
