[Request] Startup notification with quota info #1139
Comments
@jancborchardt No, there is no such notification yet. But I would also object to notifications unless they are critical. |
@danimo so isn’t »95 % of storage space used« critical? |
@jancborchardt Sure, we're in agreement. |
Ok, so for that it would be useful to have a notification. 80% is not critical, but 95 I guess is where it should show. |
I agree with @jancborchardt: I should have been more clear in my original report. It would be useful to have the notification of «quota is nearly full» so that users may be aware of the issue and clean files if necessary. |
we could change the tray icon once the quota is > 95%, and >80% we present an entry in the bubble. But that would have to happen if the quota goes over these values, not only on startup. |
@dragotin yeah, that should be fine. I would only do 90% though, 80 is a bit early. Or @schiesbn which limits to we use in the web interface? |
I made a start with this in rullzer/client@f08c36f. Currently the warning is shown at 90% once when it is reached. This can be after startup or when the client just is running. It has to go down to 85% it will be shown again at 90% (to make sure you are not flooded when you are around 90%). Probably someone with more artistics talents should take a look at that. |
cc/ @dragotin |
Would it be possible to add quota info to the startup 'bubble'?
This would allow end-users to quickly (and frequently) view how much of their quota is used.
