Hi,

a nice feature could be the automatically upload of taken screenhots to a specified location inside the cloud like DropBox manages that.

I cant find any ticket regarding to this, so: If one exists, please close this one :)

Why limit this to Mac OS? Windows and most window managers have a similar functionality.

Then again, most of them store screen shots in a user-definable directory. So why not use that?

Hi, sorry for the indistinctness:

Yes, right, this should available for all supported OSs, I've set '[Mac]' to show, what client I use.
And, yes: It could be possible to use the system settings to store the taken screenshot direct into owncloud. I mentioned 'like DropBox manages that' and forgot to say, that DP stores a public link to the clipboard. THAT feature would be awesome.

Regards,

Would also really like this feature, love the dropbox one, but for work where we use owncloud would be really handy

I like the solution to upload new items in a specified folder and then provide a public link via the clipboard the most.
Then it could also be used to rapidly "drop-and-share" docs, the are many possibilities and the user can decide how to use this folder, it wouldn't be limited to screenshots.
Really miss this feature.

I forked a repo and adapted it for gnome-shell https://github.com/theonlydoo/ocss in desperate wait of this feature in oc client.

Love this feature in Dropbox. I need this a few times a week on Windows and Linux (Firefox).

Thanks,
G

Hey @AlexStanovsky, we are currently getting proposals from students applying to GSoC to integrate this whole workflow with the client (https://central.owncloud.org/t/gsoc-2017-screen-shot-sharing-service/6060) so scripts are no longer required. Stay tuned for news!
