Why , for all that use UPS , we poll a pin that inform about power loss.

And you will have the only one system that can produce a true robust power loss system for octoprint
May be ... In marlin there is a creality feature ' power loss' , may be this feature can send a message without sdcard printing
If necessary I can write a feature for your plugin on marlin 2.1
