How can i disable touch event on a child div

Hi Guys,
I am facing a problem in my website. I have seven slide website. its working fine with one page scroll.
But my issue is out of seven slide on slide consist of an internal scroll. When am in ipad i am trying to scroll the internal div the hole slide got moved of. I tried to disable the touchstart for the child div. But seems like its not working. Can any guys help me on this.
