I am thinking of adding mod documentation base URL to the mod metadata (upstream), meaning a mod creator will be able to set their own URL for their mod in mod.yaml. How does that sound?

I would rather keep this as a per user setting. A developer may set everything to https://docs.openra.net/en/bleed/ while a modder might want to aim at https://docs.openra.net/en/release instead. You can also commit the .vscode folder if you want to share the setting.
