I've observed this on my GrapheneOS device. I'll take a look.

Ok, so, GrapheneOS disables network access at a lower level than Android's permission system. Consequently, there actually isn't a way for the app to check if the permission has been granted or not. Best we can do is catch when a network request fails, and warn the user that the network is unavailable and that feature may not function properly.

this also happens on regular android as well, with graphene it atleast allows you to add it yourself, i couldnt find the setting on regular android.

There is no setting on regular android. The network permission is something GrapheneOS added themselves. If you have issues on regular android, then it is a different problem from this.

@callebtc there is no API to check network permission. This PR adds the error you request if the device has no network connection to ALL relays.

I'm curious what you would prefer?
