deleting this temp folder may help for one time, but it can't be automatically deleted by game process.

I would say just don't do that. Changing that setting creates a hidden desktop.ini file in the folder, and that file would be imported when returning from external edit. Now your map becomes unrankable because it has an unused file.

The reason behind the phenomenon in OP is probably that, Windows automatically adds the read-only attribute to the folder after changing the said setting (can be checked by attrib foldername). I don't know why.
