I was looking into implementing fixes for some tickets (PEP 3119 support, #61) but it is a bit complicated to setup a virtualenv for Python 2.7 and these days, there should be not much trouble saying Python 2 is dead and we should move forward.
Would it be acceptable to provide a pull request removing support for Python 2?
Same question but for other EOL Python 3 releases.
