Backing up Zotero data folder and citation keys guarantees #3148
-
I regularly backup my Zotero data folder. When I format the PC, reinstall Zotero, point it to the backuped data folder, reinstall zottero-better-bibtex, are citation keys guaranteed to be the same? I use those citation keys in my Quarto documents. |

Yes, assuming you have shut down Zotero completely before taking a backup, and assuming you are restoring both zotero.sqlite and better-bibtex.sqlite of the same backup. Backups taken from a running system are not guaranteed to work. |
