Google Scholar BibTex

The .bib files exported using Zotero and Better BibTeX do not match the standard format provided by Google Scholar, causing discrepancies in certain field names and citation key formats.
What I need: A JavaScript script that can adjust the exported field names and citation key formats to be consistent with those of Google Scholar.

You'll need to be more specific on what you want to be different, but Google scholar is far from the authority on what bib(la)tex should look like. But if you post a sample of what you prefer I can take a look.

You don't need to test for field existence, you can just delete it. If it's not present, it's a no-op.

You can do this of course but your chosen bib style should be doing this for you during bibliography rendering. But to do this right, you need to modify zotero.creators, and then call tex.addCreators()

this just means you want to export as better bibtex rather than better biblatex. tex.has['shortjournal'] is the same as tex.has.shortjournal BTW.

The simplest way would be

  zotero.creators = zotero.creators.slice(0, 10)
  zotero.creators.push({ creatorType: 'author', name: 'and others' })
  tex.addCreators()

but that's indiscriminate about what kind of creators you're dropping. More precise would be

You can adjust the output of BBT using a BBT postscript. If you know what changes you want I can put something together for you.
