An anamorphic lens in cinematography is a combination of spherical and cylindrical lenses. How would you impliment a cylindrical lens?

I think it can only be simulated in 3D. This app only support 2D.

How difficult is to code it in 3D?

Almost as difficult as re-develope the entire project. There is a long term plan to add 3D features, but I guess it needs 2~5 years as both me and the relevant contributors do not have time. AI will make it simpler to do that in the future though. I guess AI today is already capable of building a simple 3D optics simulator from scratch, but to integrate with all current features is still quite difficult.
