How to modify 3D lighting?

hey! i was wondering how you're supposed to programmatically modify the style of the map's light layer. i've tried with the <Light /> component but after reloading there seem to be no changes to the lighting:

<MapView
    style={{ flex: 1 }}
    projection="globe"
    styleURL="mapbox://styles/mapbox/standard"
>
    <Light style={{ intensity: 0 }} />
    {/* also color, etc. */}
</MapView>

i'm on SDK v11.4.2 if it's relevant.

so it seems like the Light component is used for the old 2D flat lights (given that it doesn't support a type prop), although i've tried switching back to SDK v10 and to a 2D map and it still doesn't do anything. but whatever, is there a way to achieve 3D light customization through a lower-level API or something?
