+1 on this one. Since we can't handle the "3rd party" oauth as stated on #39 . It's a bit of a pain to configure the OpenID login. |
Someone make a UI and I'll make a write-up. |
Will do |
Prioritize please. I want to contribute but I can't get past the login screen (seriously). |
This is indeed important @TristanWiley - It's still a pain to configure openID, and it seems that's the only way to log in. |
@Mauker1 strangely, openID should not work at all anymore (https://meta.stackexchange.com/questions/307647/support-for-openid-ended-on-july-25-2018). I'm not sure how it is still working. |
I guess they're still using the same endpoint perhaps? I've configured my email+password login on this URL: https://stackoverflow.com/users/login-add?returnUrl=%2Fusers%2Fcurrent |
That might explain why I can't log in with my main user. It has only google as login. The bot can log in with the app just fine. In any case email+password is indeed the way to go. |
We have discussed adding Google login on the app, but it seems it's a no-no. Refer to #17 |
yeah!. Agree with tim. i had to create a login by editing on my profile page on SO, since i login with google on most stackexchange sites. It would be good if we add some description so that users know about this. |
Create a help page to get people signed up since we need to do it the convoluted way and gahhh
