Contributor Terms

These contributor terms help protect Stationarr's open-source and commercial dual-license model.

By submitting a contribution to Stationarr, including code, documentation, examples, issue comments, pull requests, patches, designs, or other materials, you agree to the terms below.

1. You have the right to contribute

You represent that:

  • you created the contribution or have the right to submit it;
  • the contribution does not knowingly violate any third-party rights;
  • the contribution does not include confidential information, trade secrets, private credentials, private playlist URLs, copyrighted channel lists, unauthorized IPTV streams, or other materials you are not allowed to share.

2. Open-source license for contributions

You license your contribution under the same open-source license used by Stationarr: the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later (AGPL-3.0-or-later).

This means your contribution may be used, copied, modified, distributed, and made available under the AGPL as part of Stationarr.

3. Commercial relicensing permission

You also grant Robert Roy and the Stationarr project an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, sublicense, and relicense your contribution as part of Stationarr under separate commercial license terms.

This allows Stationarr to remain available under a dual-license model:

  • AGPL-3.0-or-later for community/open-source use; and
  • separate commercial licenses for users or organizations that need different terms.

You retain your copyright in your contribution, but you grant the project the rights needed to continue offering Stationarr under both open-source and commercial licenses.

4. No warranty

You provide your contribution without warranties or conditions of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Pull request acknowledgement

By opening a pull request or otherwise submitting a contribution, you confirm that you agree to these contributor terms.

If you are contributing on behalf of an employer or organization, you are responsible for making sure you have authority to submit the contribution under these terms.
