After moving a Drupal 7 site from Godaddy hosting to an AWS Lightsail instance, I noticed a huge performance bump.
Lightsail is the cheaper AWS solution but still gives great performance, at least for a small Drupal 7 site, but I think EC2 instances provide even better hardware and customization to handle larger sites.
I'd love to see comparisons of Godaddy Linux hosting vs. Lightsail vs. EC2, and also just Lightsail vs. EC2
I've noticed it first hand, but would be great to have some numbers around it.
