Decided to branch the repository for version 1.0 to allow for future releases (REL-1.0.1 etc) to fix bugs if necessary. This is suggested by the SVN online manual.

branches/V1.0 created from trunk @ revision 43.

Will update REL-1.0 tag to point to branches/V1.0 @ revision 44.
