It would be best if we could transfer it, instead of recreate it, so that we won't lose the PR's, issues, labels, etc.

But before that, here are some things that should be done first:

Once transferred:

  • Update the trusted publishing config on PyPI
  • Update the repo urls in pyproject.toml
  • Update the repo urls in CONTRIBUTING.md, README.md, and tests/README.md
  • Update the issue links in the # TODO comments

I suppose that it should be ready for transfer now, @rgommers. Is there anything else that I should address, before I transfer the ownership to you?

I had a look through all the metadata files (security, CoC, etc.) - I think it's ready.

Should be all done now @jorenham, and you have admin rights. In case you need org-level admin help for PyPI publishing related changes, happy to help of course.
