How can I change an approved request to declined or mark as failed?

Sometimes, I want to decline or mark an item, which has previously been approved, as failed, if it is not possible to download it (e.g. no seeds available).

This would be a useful administrative feature.

There are situations where a request is approved in good faith, but later turns out to be unavailable, dead, or otherwise impossible to acquire. In those cases, the request can remain in an "approved" state indefinitely, which may be confusing for both administrators and users.

A few actions that could help:

• Revert an approved request back to Pending.
• Mark a request as Failed with an optional reason.
• Notify the requester that the item could not be obtained.
• Allow administrators to re-approve the request later if better sources become available.

A dedicated Failed state would be particularly helpful because it distinguishes between:

• Requests that are still being processed.
• Requests that were intentionally declined.
• Requests that cannot currently be fulfilled.

For now, I don't believe Seerr provides a way to change an already approved request to declined, but I'd be interested in seeing support for a workflow like this.
