TMDB and Country of origin

As TMDB can filter on a 2-letter code for country of origin for a movie or a series, is it possible to add that as a filter in /discover/movie and /discover/tv? Searching by language does not work well where a language is shared among more than one country. It would be useful to find Australian movies, Mexican TV shows, etc.

Language and country of origin solve different problems, and in practice language is often too broad to be a good substitute. For example, filtering by English will return content from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries, while filtering by Spanish mixes productions from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and others.

Since TMDB already exposes country-of-origin information, adding it as an optional filter in both /discover/movie and /discover/tv would give users much finer control over discovery without changing existing behavior.

Some examples where this would be useful:

• Finding Australian films without also getting US and UK productions.
• Discovering Mexican TV shows separately from Spanish productions.
• Exploring content from a specific country for cultural or language-learning purposes.
• Supporting users who prefer local or regional productions.

As long as the filter remains optional, it seems like a natural addition to the existing discovery filters.
