How to specify root trajectory

Thank you for your work! I am wondering how we can define a root trajectory for the generated motion to follow. Does it have to come from an input motion, or can we use any random path? What command should I use for this?

Thanks for your interest in our work.

You should use --edit_mode to indicate the type of conditioning signal when running sample.conditional_synthesis. To follow the root trajectory, use --edit_mode pelvis (you can see the different edit_mode options here. In the current setup, our code will extract the conditioning signal from the ground-truth input motion based on a conditioning mask defined by edit_mode. If you need to input a custom trajectory, you need to modify the code. One solution would be to set the input_motion according to your desired values. Please note that the input_motion must follow HumanML3D's motion representation with absolute root position/orientation.
