ability to build on top of the shadcn/ui CLI?

i'm building a form-builder component on top of shadcn/ui that i'd like to generalize for other people to use. at the same time, i want this to use the UI components as customized by other developers inside their projects.

so, do we currently have a way to use the existing shadcn CLI that connects the components.json file to whatever component i'd like to add?

npx shadcn@latest add --external @abhigyantrips/shadcn-form-builder

i'm assuming this would also allow me to list out component dependencies. (button, dropdown, etc.).
