Star War X-Wing Alliance (Upgrade mod) Lag

Hi, I've been trying to play star wars x-wing alliance in real lan with ipxwrapper. It connects fine, but once in game there is heavy lag on the host pc (jittering fighters and spacestations) and both players will get frequent lockups with a popup error failed connection and high latency.

Is there a way to fix this?

I'm not sure - I've had reports of lag in different games and not been able to reproduce it. I could give the game a try myself, but if prior examples are anything to go by, the lag won't manifest itself for me.

Is there anything special about your setup? (Wi-Fi, Ethernet bridged over a 56k modem, satellite link...).

Won't be immediate, but if I produce a version of IPXWrapper with some profiling functionality would you mind trying some games with it to try and isolate where the lag is happening?

It turns out I started adding profiling support to IPXWrapper back in 2019 and forgot about it... I've updated it slightly and attached a build to this post. If you run a game with it, it will dump some profiling data to ipxwrapper.log every 10 seconds or so.

Could you give it a try sometime and send me the ipxwrapper.log? It'd be good if you could run one of the games you play that perform well with the profiling build too, so I've got good/bad data to compare.
