I have been trying to get imexam to work to use in the research lab that I am a part of but anytime I try to open a .fits file I end up encountering that error. I am able to open a ds9 window through python but then am unable to progress any further since I just cant open images. I have tried a lot of things that I found online including in the imexam documentation but nothing has worked. I am working on a MacBook with the apple M1 chip.
