Hi, I'm Moulik πŸ‘‹

I'm a Google Summer of Code 2019 alumnus β€” I built the linter infrastructure for oclif (Salesforce's CLI framework, now 9.5K+ stars) from scratch using TSLint and ESLint. That summer is what got me into open
source, and I've been finding ways back to it ever since.

What I'm building in the open

Open Embed UI β€” show off your open-source PRs anywhere

A solo project I'm currently shipping: a drop-in widget that lets anyone embed their GitHub PRs into a personal site, README, or docs page with a single <script> tag β€” no iframes, no API keys, no tracking.

  • Seven production-ready layouts β€” grid, list, timeline, single card, marquee, masonry, highlight.
  • Shadow DOM isolation so the widget never fights with the host site's CSS.
  • Automatic light/dark theme detection based on visitor OS preference.
  • Per-widget origin allowlist β€” security-first by default.
  • Tiny footprint β€” 19 KB gzipped for the widget, ~96 KB for the Cloudflare Worker backend.
  • Works with React, Astro, Next.js, plain HTML, and even GitHub READMEs.

Currently in private beta β€” 200 invites going out weekly.

OpenStatus β€” open-source synthetic monitoring + status pages

A Next.js + TypeScript monorepo. A few features I'm proud of:

  • Importers framework (#1933) β€” architected the system that lets any third-party monitoring/status-page provider plug into OpenStatus: typed Importer interface, source-schema mapping,
rate-limited fetchers with partial-failure recovery, idempotent upserts. Shipped Atlassian StatusPage migration as the first integration, followed by Betterstack β€” and a maintainer used the same
framework to add Instatus, which is the real validation that the abstraction held.
  • Telegram QR-code group integration (#1861) β€” full-stack feature with Redis-backed single-use tokens, a two-phase auth flow, and getUpdates long-polling chosen over webhooks for self-hosted
simplicity. Technical writeup on the OpenStatus blog.
  • Status-page internationalization (#1966) β€” locale routing, SSR locale resolution, per-locale date/time formatting for incident timestamps.
  • Self-hosting via Coolify (#1880) β€” so anyone can run OpenStatus on their own infrastructure.

What sponsorship funds

More time on open source β€” building features, mentoring contributors, and writing about what I learn β€” without context-switching back to client work. Every sponsor buys back another day a week for projects like OpenStatus and Open Embed UI.

Thank you for considering it πŸ’›
