Why sponsor?
I am an independent researcher in Switzerland. Everything I build is open source, published with raw data, and tested before it is claimed.
The lab runs on one engine: an autonomous coding and verification system that builds, tests and reviews every project listed here (synapse-channel, rigor-foundry, director-ai, remanentia). It is our flagship, and it is the reason more compute turns directly into more verified work.
The engine is put to work in four domains, and you can support the engine or the domain you care about:
-
Reactor systems (scpn-fusion-core, scpn-reactor-kernels): a public catalogue of reactor concepts and a Reactor Studio in which each concept is designed in 3D/CAD, simulated and tested virtually before anything is built. 21 fusion device families are public, and 29 fission, chemical and hybrid families are planned, with plans written and repositories to follow.
-
Control and integration (scpn-control, scpn-phase-orchestrator): controllers for tokamak plasmas, written so that every claim comes with the evidence behind it: equilibrium, transport, disruption and control checks that fail loudly rather than pass quietly. The same group builds the SCPN Studio Hub that federates all the studios.
-
Neuromorphic computing (sc-neurocore): a toolkit for spiking and stochastic neural networks, from Python models to FPGA and chip designs, with interoperability tests against the NIR standard. The goal is SNN Studio 1.0.
-
Quantum control (scpn-quantum-control): experiments on coupled-oscillator synchronisation on real quantum hardware (IBM, IQM), with written protocols and decision rules, negative results included, five studies with data on Zenodo. IQM granted us extended IQM Resonance access for this research. The goal is Quantum Studio.
Running the lab takes about USD 25,000 a month: compute, GPU, QPU and FPGA time, hardware, CI and tooling. That is lab cost, not a salary. Above it the work scales, because the engine turns more compute directly into more verified results. The goal of the engine and of each domain is on my profile, and the hardware the lab needs is listed item by item in LAB_EQUIPMENT.md; equipment can also be given in kind.
Sponsorship pays for compute, hardware time and the hours to finish things properly. It does not buy results. Findings are published whichever way they fall.
What sponsors get
Your name or logo on the group you choose, "supported by" acknowledgement in the papers and datasets your support enabled, early access to releases, a short quarterly report on what your money did, and priority on your bug reports.
For organisations
- Research agreement: if a sponsorship does not fit your accounting, fund a defined piece of work under a written research agreement, invoiced directly. Scope and deliverables are agreed first; findings are published under the same rule as above.
- Commercial licence: the AGPL projects are also available on commercial terms for proprietary or closed use, and Director-AI Pro is a commercial self-hosted edition. Terms per project are on my profile.
- Contact: protoscience@anulum.li, with "research agreement" or "commercial licence" in the subject.
Thank you.
