We're building Sheaf as a successor to Simply Plural, which is shutting down.

Plurality tooling shouldn't disappear when one project's funding model fails, and it shouldn't be scoped to only one slice of the community, or ask users to trade features for privacy. Sheaf is being built to last and to serve everyone - disordered and non-disordered, traumagenic systems, endogenic systems, tulpamantic systems, median systems, and everyone in between.

What we're building

• A platform, not a thin app: PostgreSQL, FastAPI, S3-compatible storage, CDN-ready. Built by people who've been doing infrastructure professionally for over a decade.
• Self-hostable under AGPL, with a managed hosted instance for those who don't want to run their own.
• Native Android and iOS apps with WearOS and WatchOS support, plus a web app.
• API-first platform with documentation for development of custom clients and integrations.

What sponsorships fund

Sponsorships go toward supporting the project's development work and growth: infrastructure costs for the testing and hosted instance, ongoing development across web and mobile, and making sure the free tier stays sustainable as the community grows. Sheaf is run by Lupine Systems LLC; donations are not tax-deductible.

Who we are

Sheaf is created and maintained by @SiteRelEnby and @fullynocturnal, and developed with contributions from the plural community. We're plural systems ourselves, we use this kind of tooling daily, and we're committed to it being here for the long term.
