Missing highlight when nick is not separated by spaces

When someone highlights me in a channel saying something like "hey smakkerlak" or "that smakkerlak guy is one sexy devil" things are fine. If they write something like "have you seen the size of smakkerlak's linux iso collection?" there is no highlight.

In most cases i would want a highlight notification in any situation where "smakkerlak" is part of what was written, even if someone writes "smakkerlakisjustsuchaniceguy". I can see some situations where a nick might be part of common words, so could i have the option to choose highlights that includes wildcards? I'd like something like r"^.*smakkerlak.*" to be the default.
