Setup with SQLite instead of MySQL?

I would need to run the server on a rather resource constraint host.
I see a bunch of commit ~a year ago to support SQLite.

I do see it is not documented or officially supported, but how realistic would it be to run the server with SQLite as of today? (by adapting the docker-compose and .env files)
