Both the original Ice, as well as the fork source code are under GPLv3. That essentially makes relicensing to closed source impossible... |

As @rtuszik said. Thaw is licensed under GPLv3. The only thing I could legally do is to only provide binaries to people who pay. But that is something I will NOT do. I will mention my Sponsor page here on GitHub with every release and hope that people see value in my work and support me. |

Oh, and on an additional note. For now, as stated in the README.md, I will primarily focus on bug-fixing. If a new feature is necessary to fix a bug I might implement it, but I want to get Thaw stable and usable for all users first and foremost. |

Again, nice work on Thaw, it's great to see how active the project has been recently.
Quick question out of curiosity: do you have any plans for the long-term direction of this fork (e.g. paid distribution), just so the community knows what to expect going forward?
