Is there a way to extend spacing properties into the min-/max-height?

How can I just simply extend min-/max-height by using the spacing values directly just like this example https://tailwindcss.com/docs/background-color#background-colors ? I tried it but it's not working like:

...
      maxHeight: { ...spacing },
...

but not working.
Is this possible? How?

Note that I'm using custom spacing in my tailwind.

Your exact config works for me in compiling tailwind on v1.8.10. I see classes like these generated and no errors:

.max-h-118 {
  max-height: 29.5rem;
}

What tailwind version are you on and what compiling tools do you use?
