Unable to register global shortcuts

Hey, i want to create a small svelte tauri app wich can be opened and closed via a shortcut.
I used the beta because the documentation seems better. However i still cant get it working.
It would be great if someone could help me out.

I somewhat followed these steps

I ran pnpm create tauri-app --beta and installed everything.
Then pnpm tauri add global-shortcut and pnpm add @tauri-apps/plugin-global-shortcut.
I also edited my permissions

However the second log statement doesnt appear and the shortcuts arent working.
And as well when i implement the js code for registering a shortcut i get this error in the console:
Unhandled Promise Rejection: global-shortcut.register not allowed. Permissions associated with this command: global-shortcut:allow-register

Here is my tauri info maybe its helpful. Im using wsl.

Im using wsl.

I think that's the issue, especially since wsl uses wayland where global shortcuts aren't supported yet iirc.

Well yep works as expected on normal windows.

Not yet tauri-apps/global-hotkey#28 - Someone opened a PR when we were out of office tauri-apps/global-hotkey#162 - i can't give you an estimate on when that'll land though.
